Spring Blooms Styled Shoot

Updated: Mar 19

On April 8, 2023, a team of four photographers, a videographer, a coordinator and decorator, and two couples descended upon Traesure Apple Ranch here in Quincy, PA for a spring blooms inspired styled shoot. Hosted by Amanda Rosenberry of Rose-N-Berry Media LLC, and Danyele McFadden of Wild in Bloom Photography, this shoot was the successful result of some amazing collaboration between all vendors involved. The wildflower-inspired bridal bouquets with pops of pink and yellow were the perfect complement to the blossoming apple trees of the orchard, and the color palette of dusty rose, olive green, mustard, and gold tied everything together perfectly.

This styled shoot began at Aura Salon Chambersburg, where models Rina and Robin got their hair and makeup done, and got ready to put on their stunning dresses. Rina’s tea-length off the shoulder dress covered in polka dots perfectly matched her personality and the overall vibe of the shoot: fun, feminine, flirty, and spring-like; while Robin’s beaded floor-length gown exuded elegance, glamor, and a classic romantic feel. While the models were getting ready, the photographers worked on capturing the little details that make a wedding (or in this case, a styled shoot) so unique. Flat lays made up of jewelry, shoes, save the dates, invitation suites, vow books, rings, and florals highlighted the attention to detail that was put into the planning of this shoot. Once the models, photographers, and videographer were ready to go, they piled into their vehicles to begin the trip to Traesure Apple Ranch.

Once everyone arrived at the orchard, the fun had officially begun. The shoot consisted of three separate scenes: a ceremony arbor, a sweetheart table, and an intimate picnic by the pond. The first half of the shoot was spent capturing the beauty of the ceremony space and the sweetheart table, before everyone moved down the hill to end the shoot at the picnic. The ceremony arbor was hand-made by Danyele’s father, and the love and craftsmanship that went into it were obvious. The tapestry hanging on the arbor read “Together is a beautiful place to be,” and a more true message could not have been said. Watching the way the couples interacted with their partners, and witnessing all of the different vendors working together so seamlessly really was a beautiful thing.

The sweetheart table was the perfect combination of rustic-chic and classic elegance. The crystal goblets, gold chargers, and candles elevated the scene, while the vignette of wildflower arrangements at the base and edges of the table, and the wood and metal construction of the table and chairs made this setting look as though it belonged in the middle of the orchard. Even the napkins perfectly tied in the dusty rose color that was featured throughout the rest of the shoot. The photographers, videographer, and models rotated between these two scenes to ensure that everyone was able to capture every beautiful detail from multiple angles and perspectives.

Once everyone was satisfied that they had gotten enough pictures and video footage at the two scenes at the top of the hill, the group moved down to the pond to take pictures at the picnic scene and the surrounding wildflower fields. The picnic featured a homemade wedding cake, a bottle of champagne, and a charcuterie board. The cake was adorned in more wildflowers, with a gold cake topper that spelled out the word “love”. Robin and Dylan got a chance to pop the champagne and share a toast, while Rina and Travis shared an intimate cake cutting experience. The pond perfectly reflecting the sky, and the bright yellow flowers surrounding the picnic, made for a jaw-droppingly beautiful and serene backdrop to the photos captured here.

As soon as the photographers and videographers finished shooting at the picnic, the sunset came out in full force as the grand finale to the shoot. Watching the couples kiss and strike a few final poses as the sky transformed into a pink and orange painting was such a magical moment. The sunset pictures were the perfect way to end such a perfect shoot, and the images captured in the last few moments of this day will forever be imprinted on my mind.
